They fought for higher wages, safer working conditions and organized a major strike in an attempts to become unionized. On March 25th, 1911, one of the deadliest work accidents occurred in the Triangle Factory and 146 of these women lost their lives. This tragic accident forced many New York City business owners into reforming their practices and marked a major turning point in history for the working class.
